McCormick Canada is currently looking to hire a Business Analyst: Sales to join our Canadian CPD Sales team at our Mississauga, ON office. Reporting to the Customer Team Director, this role will have the opportunity to manage secondary Banners within the customer team and act as the primary sales and promotion analyst for the customer team. This individual will work across the customer team to implement and coordinate customer activities across different banners within the account. This role will work closely with the National Customer Business Managers to analyze the efficiency of customer activities, forecast volumes and trade spend based on promo frequencies, historical and category growth trends.
This individual will assist in executing customer plans designed to maximize volume, market share and ROI while leveraging brand strategy. This individual will be a key connection between Sales, Marketing, Sales Operations and Insights for the customer team. A successful candidate must be able to demonstrate analytical thinking and a solid understanding of customers, the CPG landscape and business financials. An entrepreneurial mindset and ownership attitude are critical to achieving results.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Manage customer activities and information across the account to ensure strategies are optimized (e.g. Conventional/Discount), including pre and post analysis
- Develop and maintain an annual, national promotional plan including spending within budget allocations for your assigned customer responsibility. Manage customer promotions throughout the year. All supported through high engagement of internal TPM systems.
- Responsible for TELUS implementation and analysis/uploads. Specifically, item maintenance, volume forecasting, promotional account volume and spend.
- Analysis of customer data to drive better decision making and ROI (Nielsen/Customer Databases/Shopper Intelligence)
- Works across functions - Demand Planning, Sales Ops, Customer Supply Chain to ensure data is accurate.
- Leads all innovation launches including projection of volumes, listing packages, timing implementation, POGs etc.
- Manage Shoppers Drug Mart banner & Fortinos in a sales capacity, fulfilling all requirements, that include but not limited to: promotional planning, product assortment, annual planning and analysis.
Qualifications Required:
- Preferred 2+ years of branded CPG industry experience
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of trade spend drivers and measurements
- Experience analyzing POS data, specifically Nielsen
- Ability to analyze data and pull out business insights
- Strong understanding of customer databases including IRI, Dunhumby, RetailLink.
- Be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with the Customer, Supply Chain, Demand Planning and Insights
- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $70,360-$120,360
Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
