McCormick Canada is currently looking to hire a Customer Development Manager to join our Sales team. This position will be based out of our Mississauga, Ontario office. This candidate will work mainly with assigned customers and McCormick internal contacts on forecasting, ensuring sales commitments are updated and renewed, keeping the innovation pipeline full.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Create and maintain a sales commitment plan for assigned customer and manage its execution, tracking and ensure gaps are identified and corrected
  • Develop detailed understanding of customer order fulfillment and logistics processes, to ensure that regular ordering and promotional timing are met. Work with McCormick Demand team as part of S&OP planning/ forecasting
  • Penetrate the customer's organization to build effective relationships with influential contacts across multiple buying groups and departments
  • Work with McCormick marketing to develop an innovation pipeline and prioritize new product opportunities
  • Develop and maintain an annual, national promotional plan including spending within allotted budget allocations.
  • Manage customer promotions throughout the year and determine the most effective ways to grow sales while maximizing invested promo dollars
  • Create and execute an annual Account Plan with both short term and long term growth plans- strategies and tactics.
  • Create and deliver customer Sales presentations for innovation and business reviews with supporting category or product data. Could be in person, over the phone or in email




  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing
  • 3-5 years CPG Sales or Marketing experience
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, ability to develop innovative and flexible analysis for management review.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, balance multiple priorities and respect deadlines.
  • Strong project management experience and excellent verbal & written communication skills.  Able to communicate effectively at multiple levels of the organization.
