Position Overview:

 

Responsible for supporting assigned product development activities and projects for the Canadian Flavour Solutions business under the general supervision of the Sample Room Manager. A Passion for Food.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Actively participates as Product Development support.  Performing duties such as sample preparation (blending), packaging, shipping, and stock maintenance
  • Support raw material management to maintain production continuity and CCI
  • Support raw material database updates and maintaining good record-keeping practices while adhering to quality and safety program
  • Perform analytical procedures as prescribed by Standard Operating Procedure
  • Using relevant computer software programs to collect or input data and information

 

Secondary Responsibilities: 

 

  • Supporting sensory activities, supporting product developers in finished product preparations

 

Required Qualifications: 

 

  • Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent. 

  • Some knowledge of food safety, HACCP and GMPs would be an asset.

  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment and actively participates as an important product development support and resource. Good communication skills. This role requires a strong attention to detail, demonstrate dependability and integrity.

  • Experience with food preparation would be an asset.

  • Strong Experience with business software (e.g. Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Ability to work well with a team and as an individual contributor.

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  •  Strong organizational skills

  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

  •  Strong attention to detail and adherence to procedures

  • Ability to keep and record daily logs

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

 

  • College certificate or diploma in relevant field (e.g. Business, General Science)
  • Some knowledge of food safety, HACCP and GMPs would be an asset.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with good communication skills
