RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Sample preparation including blending, label preparation, packaging and shipment.
  • Maintain fresh stock of ingredients by ordering materials, putting away inventory, recording lot numbers and expiry dates.
  • Deliver materials to PD team at outside facility.
  • Purchase groceries and other supplies for PD.
  • Under supervision, support Product Developers in application work and product evaluation.
  • Under guidance, produce finished products for internal and external customer evaluation.
  • Under guidance, assist with sensory panel execution.
  • Maintain sanitation and organization of the laboratory, following all safety policies, and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • OSSD or equivalent. Additional education in related field is an asset.
  • Experience working in food processing/manufacturing is an asset
  • Possess knowledge of GMP, HACCP, Allergen and GLP procedures
  • Meticulous attention to small quantities and detail orientated
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word and SAP an asset)
  • Ability to handle a wide variety of duties and prioritize effectively
  • Team oriented, flexible to work overtime as needed
  • Must possess a valid G driver’s licence
