Position Overview:
Facilitate the timely release of incoming raw materials, address non-conformances, conduct monthly GMP audits, obtain environmental swabs, and other duties as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts accurate and timely evaluation of raw materials to ensure they meet McCormick Corporate specifications.
- Complete kosher checks and label verifications as required on incoming materials
- Identify non-conforming materials (i.e., missing certificates of analysis (COA); out of spec COA results; etc) and immediately champions the appropriate follow-up actions; including issuing QNs, sending vendor letters, placing the material on hold, and applying hold tags.
- Create and send customer COA's
- Supporting review and approval of cancel supersedes for new product setups
- Support CofA requests for FI sampling in the Sample Room
- Support environmental monitoring program including obtaining food contact/non-food contact swabs and send out for testing
- Liaison with pest control operator
- Conduct monthly GMP audits – including entering all data into Intelex program.
- Team member and organizer of the monthly HACCP meetings including sending out monthly minutes.
- Weekly line checks/Safety & Quality Surveys
Required Qualifications:
- Level of Education and Discipline: Highschool
- Experience in a Quality Assurance setting.
- Great attention to detail and accuracy; strong communication skills; excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Able to work independently and in a team setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
College diploma in a related discipline and experience in a QA setting
