McCormick Canada is looking to hire a Product Manager II - Commercial Scale. This role can be based out of either our Mississauga, ON or London, ON office. This is a hybrid role where the candidate will be allowed to work 50% in the office and 50% remote.
The Commercial Scale Senior PM will assist in building out the NA CPD capabilities in scaled growth opportunities for the NA businesses. The Senior PM responsibilities will include supporting the commercial scale needs for NA innovation such as: launch & learn principles and tracking, process creation and management for our licensing-in ambitions, managing sufficiency for Amazon/ Pure play innovation across categories, and forecasting new certifications/claims needed to support innovation. Reports to Marketing Sr Director, NA Innovation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and deploy NA CPD launch & learn principles. Collaborate with key stakeholders on process development. Deploy to organization. Post-development, maintain process and metrics.
- Manage Pure Play innovation pipeline sufficiency in partnership with category teams and sales.
- Manage and develop licensing-in processes for NA CPD in partnership with global marketing and NA regional marketing teams. This will include managing any scaled licensing opportunities for NA CPD.
- Accountable for training/ onboarding new resources in the space of NA CPD scaled licensing-in and pure play innovation category pipeline management.
- Develop a process for evaluating new claims/ certifications required as driven by the NA CPD innovation pipeline plans. Managing this process and providing visibility to regulatory partners.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors Degree in Marketing, or related field required
- Minimum 5 years of marketing and/or sales experience
- Demonstrated significant and relevant skills and results in any industry.
- Strong project leadership experience with demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and P&L’s
- Expertise in syndicated databases, market research, business and brand planning, advertising, finance, promotional activities and consumer communications
- Sound understanding of concepts, principles and practices in Marketing (functional expert) and a working knowledge of practices in other areas including Sales, Finance and Supply Chain
- Deep understanding of the industry sector and competitive landscape across multiple segments
- In-depth understanding of how own area integrates with other Marketing areas and with other functional areas such as Sales, Finance and Supply Chain
- Excellent analytical skills as well as evaluative judgment based on the analysis of factual and qualitative information in complicated or novel situations
- Filters, prioritizes, analyzes and validates potential complex and dynamic material
- Developed communication and diplomacy skills required to guide, influence, and convince others (internal and external)
- Strong cross-functional strategic leadership, communication and teamwork skills
