SCOPE OF THE ROLE
Reporting to the Finance Director, the Senior Finance Manager – Supply Chain Finance will support the Canadian Supply Chain organization by providing financial leadership, analysis, and decision support across Manufacturing, Procurement, Distribution, Inventory, Planning, and Logistics.
This role is responsible for partnering closely with Supply Chain leadership to drive financial performance, support productivity initiatives, optimize costs, and provide insights that enable effective business decisions.
The Senior Finance Manager will lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis activities for the Supply Chain function while ensuring strong financial controls, accurate reporting, and compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
The role will also collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial Finance, Operations, Procurement, and Corporate Finance teams to support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Supply Chain Finance Business Partnership
- Partner with Supply Chain leadership to support operational and financial objectives
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support cost optimization and productivity initiatives
- Support business cases and financial evaluations for capital projects and strategic investments
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives focused on cost savings, process improvements, and operational efficiencies
- Collaborate with the site controller in Canada and in other locations
- Support inventory management and working capital initiatives
Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Reporting
- Lead Supply Chain budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning activities
- Analyze monthly financial results and explain variances versus budget, forecast, and prior year
- Support monthly close activities and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Identify risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to leadership
- Prepare and present financial results and insights to Supply Chain and Finance leadership teams
Cost Management & Financial Analysis
- Monitor manufacturing and logistics cost performance
- Perform detailed cost and variance analysis to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Support cost accounting processes and inventory controls
- Assist with financial modeling and analysis to support operational decision-making
Controls & Process Improvement
- Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies and internal controls
- Support internal and external audit requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, automation, and financial processes
- Collaborate cross-functionally to simplify and standardize processes where appropriate
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide guidance and support to analysts and finance team members
- Foster strong collaboration across Finance and Supply Chain teams
- Contribute to team development and a culture of continuous improvement
Systems & Project Support
- Support ERP, reporting, and system enhancement initiatives as required
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- 7+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably within Supply Chain, Operations, or Manufacturing Finance
- Strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and cost accounting principles
- Experience supporting budgeting and month-end close processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in a cross-functional business environment
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Experience with SAP, TM1, Power BI, or similar financial systems preferred
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $112,030-$162,030
Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
