Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time Associate Product Development Technologist to join our R&D team based in Palmwoods on the Sunshine Coast. Reporting to the Product Development Manager, you will interact with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams to execute research and development activities related to new products and existing product improvements in accordance with customer or stakeholder requirements.
The responsibilities of the role will include but not be limited to;
- Bench development of new and existing products as per internal or external project briefs
- Preparation of interim and final specification for approval by Regulatory and as per customer requirements
- Support with internal maintenance and improvement projects such as CCI and raw material supply.
- Attend cross functional meetings and work to deliver projects on time
- Support product commercialisation process and execution of trials
- Interact with suppliers to keep up with new technologies and trends
Ideal Candidate
You’re a passionate and detail-oriented R&D professional with a strong foundation in food product development, ready to take the next step in your career. You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working across teams to bring innovative products to life.
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- 3–5 years of hands-on R&D experience in a food production, FMCG industry
- A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to bench development and product trials
- Strong communication and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Regulatory, Supply Chain, and Commercial
- A proactive mindset, with a willingness to support internal improvement initiatives and stay up to date with industry trends and supplier innovations
- Technical proficiency, including Microsoft Office
