Production Supervisor - Processing Room (Palmwoods)

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our packaging team reporting to the Operations Manager – Processing.
About the Role
As a Production Supervisor at McCormick, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for leading a dedicated team, ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and quality are maintained.
Please note: This position requires the Supervisor to work on a rotating shift roster.
Key responsibilities include:
Team Leadership: Motivate and lead a team of production operators, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Process Optimization: Implement best practices to enhance production efficiency, minimize downtime, and reduce waste.
Quality Assurance: Enforce quality control measures to ensure that products meet or exceed McCormick's rigorous quality standards.
Safety Compliance: Champion a safety-first culture by enforcing safety protocols, conducting regular training, and promoting a safe work environment.
Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for cost savings, enhanced productivity, and process optimization.
Communication: Maintain open and effective communication channels with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and coordination across departments.
About You
- Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety protocols.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience in TPM systems.
- Ability to complete and coach RCA activities.
