We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our global company based on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. About You
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- 1-2 years of experience in the food industry
- A qualification in Microbiology
- Proven laboratory experience in a food environment
- Strong understanding of microbiological aseptic techniques (e.g., Gram staining, aseptic sampling, dilutions, plating, and environmental swab collection)
- Knowledge of laboratory quality assurance procedures
- High level of analytical and reporting skills
- Experience in database maintenance and record-keeping
- Great attention to detail
The Role
Reporting to the Associate Manager, Quality Assurance, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting routine microbiological testing of food product samples
- Performing environmental testing and investigations
- Maintaining external and internal testing databases
- Media preparation and quality control
- Ensuring the lab and its procedures meet company requirements
