A new role within the business, this exciting Full-time opportunity will suit a dynamic, energetic individual with a passion for developing people.

 

Reporting to Continuous Improvement Manager and working closely with a dedicated team of professionals, you will be responsible for the site Training and Development program and integration with the Business Operational Excellence Program. The ideal candidate will have gained some experience in planning, coordinating, and facilitating staff training preferably within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) business.

 

This position is responsible for the site learning and development program and its integration with the Journey to Excellence (JTE) program. The incumbent can expect to plan and coordinate effective staff training and assist in standardizing standards with teams to align with Supply Chain transformation plans. 

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Partner with the plant leadership team to determine training needs that will drive manufacturing excellence for the facility
  • Coordinate with Department Managers in enhancing quality and timely implementation of training
  • Primary support of new digital technologies as they become available and coordinate training
  • While promoting change management, design and implement training standards and measures across the site that support the vision of self-sufficient teams
  • Support the development of a robust curriculum for both technical and soft skills specific to manufacturing excellence with Learning Management System (LMS) support

 

Experience Required & Technical Skills

  • Ideally you will have at least 2+ years of experience in a similar role preferably in a manufacturing FMCG environment
  • Demonstrated experience developing skills matrices and integrating these into a Learning Management System
  • Bachelor’s degree in, Science, Business, Supply Chain or other related discipline is preferred
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment preferred
  • Experience developing curriculum and training materials and facilitating training courses
  • Intermediate project/program management & team leadership skills, strong judgment skills, business acumen and a high level of professionalism
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office applications will be required and SAP experience will be considered an advantage
