MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare preventive maintenance plans that are aligned with McCormick maintenance goals and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) guidance.
  • Create maintenance schedules and generate work orders using CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System).
  • Ensure CMMS is effective by keeping it current and ensuring it has suitable granularity for our requirements in terms of plant layout.
  • Create a basic operation SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) for our CMMS, ensure that new starters are familiarised and understand the system by demonstrating competence in: creating the correct work orders for type of work, booking out stock correctly in accordance with our standard, accessing, claiming and booking PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) work.
  • Manage PPM schedule in conjunction with other key planners (collaborate with stores and OEMs to ensure 'kitting' of regular use service parts, ensure that expected PPM times are accurate, review work requests daily and convert to Work orders, review outstanding work orders daily and ensure resource, time and materials are available to complete timely).
  • Audit PPM program with maintenance manager and other key stakeholders on an annual basis.
  • Assist and support maintenance manager in understanding position of department by having meetings to update progress and present relevant metrics.
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff, Facilities Manager and Facilities staff, contractors, and external vendors.
  • Maintain records and files essential to maintenance management.
  • Create procedural documents that explain how to do certain tasks.
  • Manage Calibrations and support the audit of calibrated systems.
  • Attend all production planning meetings to request appropriate time needed for line down planned maintenance interventions.
  • Ensure time down for maintenance is kept minimal by procuring 3rd party condition-based monitoring services.

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Engineering NVQ level or equivalent in relevant Engineering Discipline.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing/engineering environment preferred.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize within agreed timescales.
  • Experience with engineering CMMS.
  • Good Excel or MS Project knowledge.
