CUSTOMER BUSINESS MANAGER II

McCormick & Company, Inc., a global leader in the spice, flavor, and seasonings industry, is seeking a full-time Customer Business Manager II on the Sam's Club Team. This new hire will work in Rogers, AR. The Customer Business Manager II will report to the Sales Director - Sam's Club Team.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Customer Business Manager II is responsible for the achievement of volume objectives, budgets, and planning.  Retail execution and customer collaboration are key responsibilities to the success of this position.    

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and deliver Sam’s Club customer plans to achieve volume objectives within budget, and short- and long-term solutions through best practice thought leadership
  • Review “white-space” opportunities. If warranted, develop and execute channel and retailer plans
  • Determine appropriate product mix and gain subsequent distribution
  • Manage trade promotion system
  • Overnight travel may be required
  • Mentor junior team members   

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or related field
  • 6 years Sales, Marketing, or related experience with a minimum of 4 years experience successfully directly managing a customer
  • Strong computer and analytical skills required
  • Expert knowledge of procedures & concepts within Sales function and basic knowledge in other areas, such as sales operations, supply chain, and marketing
  • Understands how Sales integrates with other commercialization areas -- marketing, supply chain, finance
  • Expert understanding of industry sector and competitive landscape
  • Awareness of store conditions and current & best practices within area
  • Evaluates complex situations using multiple sources of information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as analytical, problem solving, communication & organization skills
  • Strong negotiation, influencing and leadership skills
  • Strong computer and analytical skills 
  • Understands industry sector and competitive landscape
  • Valid drivers license
  • Entreprennuerial approach as portion of customer portfolio will be targeting undersold or unsold accounts
  • Knowledge of syndicated data
