POSITION OVERVIEW
The Customer Business Manager II is responsible for the achievement of volume objectives, budgets, and planning,as well as managing the direct relationship with Sams. Execution of Retail controllable and customer collaboration are key responsibilities to the success of this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop specific plans for Sam’s Club, implementing tactics for: promotion, pricing, distribution, schematics & category management across many McCormick brands. Present and execute these plans.
- Review “white-space” opportunities. Develop and execute channel and retailer plans.
- P&L ownership for Condiments, Hot Sauce, and Frozen businesses.
- Develop and deliver Sam’s Club plans to achieve volume objectives.
- Determine appropriate product mix and gain subsequent distribution.
- Manage trade promotion system.
- Overnight travel may be required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or related field.
- 4 - 6 years Sales, Marketing or managing customer base required.
- Strong computer and analytical skills required.
- Expert knowledge of procedures & concepts within Sales function and basic knowledge in other areas, such as sales op's, supply chain, and marketing.
- Understands how Sales integrates with other commercialization areas -- marketing, supply chain, finance.
- Expert understanding of industry sector and competitive landscape.
- Expert knowledge of McCormick products, mix & impact to profit.
- Awareness of store conditions and current & best practices within area.
- Evaluates complex situations using multiple sources of information.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication & organization skills.
- Strong negotiation, influencing and leadership skills.
- Strong computer and analytical skills.
- Understanding of how Sales integrates with other commercialization areas – marketing, supply chain and finance.
- Understands industry sector and competitive landscape.
- Valid drivers license.
- Entreprennuerial approach as portion of customer portfolio will be targeting undersold or unsold accounts.
- Knowledge of syndicated data.
