POSITION OVERVIEW
The Customer Business Manager II is responsible for the achievement of volume objectives, budgets, and planning,as well as managing the direct relationship with Walmart. Execution of Retail controllable and customer collaboration are key responsibilities to the success of this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Owns Relationship of McCormick categories with the customer.
- Budgeting and planning of complex businesses.
- Develop and execute specific plans for Walmart, implementing tactics for: promotion, pricing, distribution, schematics & category management across many McCormick brands.
- Ideating new solutions with the customer as well as internal partners to create win-win outcomes.
- Short term and long-term planning, including developing a sales vision for the business, creating concise but compelling presentations, and presenting to leadership and multi-functional groups.
- Deliver Walmart plans to achieve financial and volume objectives.
- Review “white-space” opportunities. Develop strategies and execute retailer plans.
- P&L ownership.
- Determine appropriate product mix and gain subsequent distribution.
- Manage trade promotion and forecasting system.
- Build item level annual volume Forecast with high-level accuracy.
- Expert knowledge of McCormick products, mix & impact to profit.
- Periodic overnight travel may be required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or related field.
- 5 years Sales, Marketing or related experience managing customer base required.
- Highly skilled at presentation creation and delivery.
- Strong computer and analytical skills required.
- Excellent and demonstrated communication skills.
- Expert knowledge of procedures & concepts within Sales function and basic knowledge in other areas, such as sales op's, supply chain, digital and marketing.
- Understands how Sales integrates with other commercialization areas -- marketing, supply chain, eComm, finance.
- Strong negotiation, influencing and leadership skills.
- Expert understanding of industry sector and competitive landscape.
- Awareness of store conditions and current & best practices within area.
- Evaluates complex situations using multiple sources of information.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication, organization and prioritization skills.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and working under time constraints.
- Understands industry sector and competitive landscape.
- Entreprennuerial approach.
- Knowledge of syndicated data. Expert level experience is a plus.
