TRADE COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST

International Trade Compliance Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contribute in International Trade Compliance strategies and provide guidance and strategic support to TOP management that helps reduce risk and exposure from compliance violations for India & China importing and exporting activities.
2. Services multiples businesses including international locations and manage/maintain communications with internal/external legal counsel and government agencies, to ensure that any exposure to financial or legal risk is considered and mitigated as part of International Trade. Focus on India & China relative regulatory and affairs.
3. Determine, review & audit origin, HTS classification, and the status of various Trade Agreements that allow company to take advantage of reduced costs and duty savings in compliance manner. 
4. Support Inter-company issues and regional project. Serves as a liaison with China & India.
5. Manage and conduct Import and Export Audits in India & China accordance with guidelines set by the S. Director- Global Trade Compliance. Conduct business meetings on critical areas and put measurements in place that address non-compliance. 
6. Manage and provide training to the business on International Trade Compliance matters that ensure compliance and maintain ‘best practice’ that reduces exposure to fines and penalties. 
7. Ensure updated knowledge with regards to the International Trade Regulations. Analysis internal impact, provide plan or actions steps for implementation as necessary to business in India & China.
8. Customs brokerage Management.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree. Major in International trade, international business or chemistry.
2. Knowledgeable and professional in APZ countries customs requirements, especially India & China, HS classification, Origin rules, FTA study, customs valuation and the other ITC knowledge.
3. General Custom Declarator, better on Customs Senior certification
4. Experience in export/import regulations and Asia Country Customs and compliance required. Working year – 6~10 years. Industry background with some exposure to fast moving consumer goods industry (FMCG) e.g. food, retail etc.
5. Optimism, able to anti high pressure, self-encouragement. Self- organizational & multiple task handler skill – able to prioritize workload and have ability to be adaptable.
6. Fluency in English writing and speak. Preference – GTS / SAP experience, China import / export chemical / hazardous material management
