VP Supply Chain Operations APAC

Based in Singapore (hybrid model)

Reporting to the Chief Supply Chain Officer, the incumbent will lead supply chain operations across multiple sites and countries across APAC region. Responsibilities include manufacturing, engineering, planning an logistics, supply chain purpose led performance/safety, health, and environmental (PLP/SHE), continuous improvement (CI), project management, and performance control. As a key member of the Global Supply Chain leadership team, the individual will collaborate with regional and functional leaders to ensure operational excellence and support enterprise goals. The role drives cultural and leadership evolution, focusing on high performance, talent management, and diversity and inclusion. Success metrics include safety, productivity, quality, customer service, workforce health, cash, and total cost of operations.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leadership and coordination of end-to-end Supply Chain operations with focus on strategy/objective alignment and associated resource deployment, executional excellence (KPI tracking and action), and commercial partnership: Growth, Cost, Cash. Holds a key role on Regional Cross-Functional Leadership team.
  • Builds the #wedeliver culture, role models the McCormick growth behaviors, and drives effective organizational, talent development, succession, and Diversity and Inclusion agenda; Contributes actively to achieve Global Supply Chain’s Great Place to Work ambitions. Key focus on talent development of individuals and leadership team to build the next generation of leaders. Build partnership across all SC functions and key partners (HR, Quality, R&D, Procurement, Finance).
  • Oversight of the KPI review process for the region through to the Global Supply Chain Leadership Team review with Chief Supply Chain Officer.
  • Leadership in the development of long-term Capital plans consistent with business plans and objectives including innovation, capacity, cost savings and risk management.
  • Execution of transformation programs within the long-term planning period; Ensures transformation is executed to time, cost, and quality.
  • Contributes to Global Supply Chain strategy definition; Aligns and defines regional strategy based on business, customer, and Supply Chain priorities and objectives.
  • Ensure Supply Chain Sustainability commitments are factored into supply chain agenda items.
  • Supports Integrated Business planning process development, global enablement activities, and Transformational IT programs.
  • Enable global talent development by ensuring consistency with global model and mentoring, coaching and as needed transferring talent for growth.
  • Strong partnership with Joint ventures and developing supply chain interdependencies. Supporting joint venture and merger and acquisition agenda.
  • Approximately 25-40% travel across region or globally required.

 

 

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

 

  • BSc in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Leadership experience in manufacturing/supply chain environment.
  • Knowledge of APAC markets.
  • Proven leadership and strong analytical skills.
  • Experience in driving growth plans through effective leadership of supply chain, including capacity planning and utilization, network design, operational efficiency, and cost reduction across the value chain.
  • Ability to build strong partnership with joint ventures.
  • Ability to build trust and influence across all supply chain functions and key partners (HR, Quality, R&D, Procurement, Finance).
  • Ability to build trust and influence with APAC leadership team and global supply chain leadership. Share insights into local requirements through transparent and strong communication; knowledge of key APAC markets, business models, and innovation requirements to succeed in diverse markets.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to motivate people through clearly articulated vision.
  • Capability to build a strong team, succession plan, systems, and processes.
  • Fluent in English, Mandarin would be an advantage.
