Primary Purpose

 

As a Materials, Purchase & Production Planning Manager, incumbent coordinates and conducts the purchase of ingredients, MRO, services, packaging to support production and CAAP equipment. Production management – Manages and counsels on manufacturing scheduling, product sourcing activities, warehouse/delivery and order taking operations. The position is responsible for maintaining positive and constructive relationships with vendors. The Buyer is responsible for the collaborative development of strategies and programs to optimize cost, rationalize the supply base and bring value to the Corporation while mitigating risk and ensures highest levels of service, quality standards, and cost efficiency. 

 

Key Role & Respinsibility

 

Material planning for Factory RM, PM & Perishable purchase planning 
o    Rice PM Planning with close coordination with co-packer
o    FG RM/PM 
o    Perishable

Production management – Manage and counsel on manufacturing scheduling, product sourcing activities, warehouse/delivery and order taking operations

Liaising with suppliers to ensure the materials availability on time and as per agreed terms and conditions
Place the purchase orders to supplier
Prepare material scheduling plan and ensure the adherence to scheduling from supplier

Execution of volume plan – Facilitate global budgets, capacity planning, inventory flow and levels with operations and finance to align inventory and customer service objectives.

Timely review for critical inventory, SLOB and risk of expiry and highlight the same with respective stake holders
Close coordination with production team for day to day operations and weekly production planning

Partner Collaboration – Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Production, Quality control, Engineering & Logistics, Demand planning team and external business partners to drive operational efficiencies, execute supply network strategies and achieve key performance indicators.

Co-ordinate with Q/A for any vendor / customer quality issue
Co-ordinate with production and procurement team for the fulfilment of urgent production requirement
Co-ordinate with stores for time to time stock verification physical vs SAP stock

100% System Driven Planning – support quarterly master data upkeep and SAP utilization processes to drive efficient automated planning processes

Assist procurement team in developing local vendors required for perishables 
Maintain good relationship with Suppliers & performance management

Meet budgetary goals – Establish policies and targets for forward looking SKU stock coverage optimization, inventory glide-path projections, and month-end finished goods inventory Counting reports.

 

Education & Experience

 

MBA / Food Graduate 

Minimum 5-8 years of experience in an Material Planning , Purchase & Production Planning, preferably in the food/ Beverage/ FMCG industry. SAP experience will be added advantage
