POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Senior Human Relations Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for ensuring the implementation of the Global and Regional HR Strategy locally as well as the effective operation of the Human Resources function and associated activities at the facility.   As the site HR Leader within the North America Supply Chain (NASC) network, the position is responsible for providing support to all site employees in the successful implementation of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and the high performance organizational (HPO) framework.  The Senior HR Business Partner consults with leaders and employees to operationalize the people strategy and provide leadership and strategic support for McCormick’s manufacturing plant and partners closely with plant leaders and HR colleagues to ensure the continued building of a high-performance work system.  Key areas of responsibility include, Organizational Design (including Technician Work System), Organizational Health, People Change Management, Governance over rewards/recognition, communication systems, talent management systems such as compensation, recruitment and succession planning and team development & effectiveness.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide HR leadership as a results focused change agent in the areas of employee engagement, recruitment, employee relations, compensation, performance management, succession planning, employee communications, training, and policy interpretation
  • Develop and implement the talent strategy that is aligned with the business needs over the next 3-5 years, providing insight, leadership and support for short-term and long-term workforce planning using data driven analysis for exempt and non-exempt staff
  • Through OPM (Organizational Performance Model) sessions will consult with leadership and managers on organizational structure, roles and responsibilities, and staffing levels and establish effective staffing/hiring strategies to deliver intended results
  • Leads HR system process improvement initiatives and special projects
  • Act as a contributor and a proactive agent in the development and delivery of diversity and inclusion programs supporting all facility employees through employee development programs, individual development and career counseling, training and development programs, team skills, and leadership skills in a multi shift environment
  • Foster accountability for employee engagement and performance by ensuring appropriate training/goal setting and recognition plans and programs are in place
  • Collaborates with various Centers of Excellence (COE’s)across the company to ensure that the needs of the site are met and in alignment with corporate programs and strategies
  • Manages and develops direct reports

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of HR experience preferably in a manufacturing plant environment
  • Experience coaching/counseling across levels and functions
  • Experience managing multiples projects / initiatives simultaneously & executing successfully to completion
  • Strong team work skills to include experience collaborating with cross functional teams defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions and delivering workable solutions
  • Experience successfully leading others, developing staff, and influencing change
  • Ability to work flexible hours across three shifts to meet business demands

 

Preferred Qualification

  • PHR/SPHR Certification
  • Experience working in a manufacturing facility
  • Experience managing direct reports
  • SAP experience
  • Willingness to relocate for future assignments
