The shift we are hiring for is Tuesday - Friday 7AM to 3:30PM; Saturday 6AM-5:30PM 

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Through the direction of the DC Team Manager, the Crew Leader ensures overall performance of the team to meet objectives for scorecard metrics and OGSM’s for cost, quality assurance, inventory control, HazMat shipping compliance and training (ground, air, ocean), safety, sanitation, service, sustainability, organizational health, GMPs, and distribution reliability.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures overall performance of the team to include quality, safety, reliability, waste and sanitation to achieve business goals. 
  • Pro-actively encourages continuous improvement and daily problem solving initiatives to increase operational effectiveness and efficiencies. 
  • Coaches, trains, and ensures compliance to LC established procedures (including work rule, safety and sanitation guidelines) while demonstrating a deep respect for the capabilities of all people. 
  • Ensures that all activities follow documented operating procedures and recommends updates to existing procedures as required. 
  • Coordinates & schedules crew vacation requests & overtime. 
  • Determines needs and conducts training required for new & existing employees.  
  • Performs job tasks of other team members of jobs of equal or lower grades. 
  • Facilitates teamwork and coaching among team members. 
  • Holds meetings for distribution tracking, problem solving and team development. 
  • Training & Development System Owner
  • Partner with the LC leadership team to determine training needs that will drive distribution excellence for the facility
  • Implementation of the training strategy and program structure that is integrated with the Journey to Excellence (identify site level training losses, define training objectives, develop and deliver training solutions that address employee development needs and business priorities)
  • Support the Technician Work System by establishing a site level qualification process and providing on-going governance to process
  • Develop and implement training standards and measures that support the vision of self-sufficient teams
  • Ensure the implementation and effectiveness of an on-boarding and early development program and early development for new employees
  • Determine instructional methods such as individual training, group instructions, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings and workshops. Select or develop teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works
  • Primary support of new technologies as they become available, coordinating and preparing training schedules to accommodate facility needs h. Evaluate training effectiveness; assess quality and success of program and share feedback to validate effectiveness
  • Regional T&D Pillar Team Participant
  • Actively partner with other Site Training Managers on the Regional T&D Pillar team to support HPO Work Systems implementation
  • Provide framework for overarching training methodologies through standardization with other functions (HR, Safety, and Quality) to help create regional training standards
  • Determine learning management system solution that will meet the needs of the manufacturing sites and JTE
  • T&D Pillar Leader
  • Establishment of the T&D Pillar and capability building of the team
  • Foster the development of internal subject matter experts through Train-the-Trainer program to leverage internal training resources and promote knowledge transfer within organization
  • Other tasks as necessary

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Three years of manufacturing and/or industrial experience required.
  • Relevant training experience, with experience developing curriculum and training materials and facilitating training courses
  • Demonstrated ability to understand financial impact of business decisions affecting staffing, product components and inventory required.
  • Demonstrated computer skills, including knowledge of Excel, Word, statistical database applications & Lotus Notes required. 
  • Demonstrated ability to pro-actively encourage continuous improvement and daily problem solving initiatives required.
  • Proven ability to coach, train and influence while demonstrating a deep respect for the capabilities of all people required.
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking skills to determine risk assessment required.
  • Ability to work overtime/weekends required, must be flexible with schedule.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of SAP, Infinity, Power Point, Access preferred. 
  • Demonstrated practice of leadership principles required and formal leadership training strongly preferred. 
  • Demonstrated competency to operate all equipment in the business strongly preferred.
  • Experience effectively leading and facilitating team and cross-functional meetings strongly preferred.
