RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the general supervision of the Team Manager, the Crew Leader is responsible for:

 

  • Performing time keeping task daily for team
  • Developing technicians and coordinators to continuously achieve higher productivity.
  • Work functionally and cross functionally to achieve team and company goals.
  • Ensure that you and your team are completing all safety trainings, quality trainings, BOS, and QBOS requirements.
  • Ensure that environment and conduct amongst the team is inclusive, respectful, and professional.
  • Be a leader in LMS initiative. (coaching, developing, documenting)
  • Ensure that team is adhering to attendance and break policies.
  • Ensure that cross training and development efforts are carried out.
  • Document all performance coaching whether positive, negative, or neutral.
  • You are required to maintain the absence log and work through all approved absences. You are expected to communicate absences through absence log.
  • As a crew leader the expectations is to be present and provide floor presence for your team to ensure all technicians are remaining productive and have everything, they need to perform job functions.
  • Use KPIs to gauge your shifts progress and make manpower adjustments and/or refocus technicians as needed to accomplish team goals.
  • Ensure all safety and quality needs/standards are being met.

 

  • Ensure we meet the business expectations by ensuring technicians are picking/packing/staging all customer orders in a timely and accurate manner while utilizing an RF scanner and VMC (vehicle-mounted computer) to perform transactions successfully while operating material handling equipment.
  • You are expected to lead employees who operate a variety of industrial equipment, including motorized pallet jacks, push-off machines, wrappers, pallet flippers, and pallet dispensers. As a crew leader you should have an understanding on basic functions of each industrial equipment.
  • You are expected to ensure all technicians understand our inventory system and are able to document safety, quality, and performance standards as processes dictate.
  • General warehouse duties inclusive of sanitation, required training, and audits outside of core operations.
  • Arriving on time prior to shift and engaging in team meetings, facilitate startup meetings, and special projects as required.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse/receiving/shipping operations required.
  • Forklift license required.
  • Proficient in operating material handling equipment (reach truck, sit-down, stand-up, walking transport, and riding transporter).
  • Proficient PC experience: knowledge of SAP/ERP WMS, Word, and Excel preferred.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate teamwork.
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and in written form. Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to gather performance data and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed and under short notice.
  • Ability to influence others and ensure adherence to best practices without formal authority.
  • Accurate clerical and numerical skills, ability to read, interpret, and follow complex procedures.
  • Ability to work in an environment where performance against specific standards is constantly measured.
  • Ability to work overtime frequently or on short notice, inclusive of weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to lift to and including 50 pounds or more on a continuous basis.
  • Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures inside and outside.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions provided by leadership.
  • Mandatory fully onsite attendance required.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Understanding and execution of Problem-Solving skills; knowledge of Six Sigma
  • SAP knowledge
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience.

Base Salary: $28.12 - $42.19

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Dividend Program.
