The Director of Learning formulates, designs and implements learning strategies and programs to support business strategy, global talent management objectives and accelerate capability throughout the organization. This leader simultaneously manages multiple complex and high impact projects that have global, long-range organizational reach. This position directly manages internal staff plus external contractors and leads global initiatives to achieve global learning and development goals.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
· Works closely with the Talent and Learning Global VP to define Company Learning strategy and priorities.
· Acts as internal consultant to business leaders and HR to deliver on a sustainable and relevant leadership, functional, learning approach, and solutions to meet global business needs and drive high performance.
· Manages portfolio of global projects in alignment with strategic HR/Talent Management objective, including Design and delivery of those programs.
· Leads Global Learning Network to support technical skills development , share best practices and align on global initiatives implementation.
· Manages L&D Team and develops talent to ensure high-performing talent, succession depth, and diverse and inclusive teams.
· Plans and organizes delivery of Programs through the team, through internal partners or through external contractors.
· Establishes key metrics and analytics to facilitate strategic decisions and to measure ROI, team and individual performance, and business/organization impact of our programs and approaches.
· Works in close Collaboration with L&D Technology Director, Talent Management Director to ensure best in class experience from our employees.
· Leverages relationships with external subject matter experts, vendors and brings best practices/trends, to build and embed learning and development programs and curriculum that are differentiators in a learning organization.
· Acts as the Process owner for Learning Budgeting, Forecasting and Control.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Business, Education, Organisational Development or Psychology or equivalent.
· Extensive experience of direct learning and development L&D expert able to bring best market practices/trends.
· Knowledge of current and future trends in learning technologies/media.
· Proven track of successfully leading project teams and/or staff of training resources and developing projects with broad/global scope and reach.
· Experience leading complex, global and cross-functional projects for high business impact in multiple languages.
· Demonstrated experience with strategic planning and forging global alliances.
· Leadership in strategic planning for global learning solutions.
· Experience building competency models and aligning learning initiatives to model.
· Excellent Business Partner – able to identify and address business needs.
· Team player
· Ability to engage an audience, able to influence without direct authority.
· Fluent English.
