Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Facilities Technician to support the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our site infrastructure and production facilities at our Clayton site. This hands-on role is critical to ensuring operational continuity, environmental compliance, and the ongoing success of our continuous improvement initiatives.
As a Facilities Technician, you will operate and maintain the Trade Waste Plant to meet environmental compliance standards, conduct daily testing, and support sustainability initiatives. You’ll oversee the condition of site infrastructure including buildings, HVAC systems, and fire services through regular inspections and preventative maintenance. You’ll also ensure the reliable operation of essential production equipment such as boilers, compressors, and chillers, responding quickly to breakdowns and collaborating with production teams. In addition, you’ll manage contractor activities on-site, provide maintenance support during production shifts, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency, and performance.
Ideal Candidate
We’re seeking someone who brings:
- Technical expertise in maintaining and operating production and site infrastructure, including boilers, compressors, HVAC systems, and more.
- Experience in environmental compliance, particularly in operating trade waste plants and supporting sustainability initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns and maintenance issues.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills to manage contractors and collaborate with internal teams.
A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
