Overview:

McCormick is seeing a Sr  Brand (Product) Manager with responsibilities including strategic design as well as execution of sales enablement initiatives to support the Beverage & Health business unit’s growth, business development, and other related activities to support meeting sales and profit objectives (including tradeshows and industry events.)  This position will translate consumer and market insights into customer-facing engagement enablers.  The position will sit at our Geneva, IL (FONA) site 50% of the time and report into the Sr Marketing Manager.  

 

Key Responsiblities

  • Set strategic vision for segments managed. Identify and implement growth initiatives and segment trend forecasting.
  • Design and develop proactive flavor marketing platform tools and campaigns.
  • Execute on reactive customer marketing and consumer insights requests to create compelling communication (story building and telling) that connects market and consumer data to the customers’ brand(s) and relevant McCormick solutions to generate sales pipeline growth.
  • Drive Sales enablement and effectiveness by defining customer and subsequent marketing plans, proactively identify new content and methods for engaging customers and regularly assess the needs of the Sales team to adjust tools and approach to align with key customer insights/information.
  • Develop & own customer revenue cycle for key segments.
  • Support Demo Ideation with Innovation and Technical team.
  • Provide strategic and tactical coordination with internal partners such as technical, innovation, sales, global marketing, culinary, sensory, research & innovation as well as external advertising, design, market research, PR agencies, and vendors
  • Present to customers and key internal stakeholders (virtually, in-person and occasionally while traveling; approx. 10% travel)
  • Lead and manage one direct report

 

Qualifications

  • BA in Marketing, Communications, or related discipline
  • A mimimum of 5 years of marketing experince in CPG, Food or Beverage, Hospitality industries or related.
  • Experience includes: strategic thinking, teamwork, using syndicated databases, event planning, graphic design/digital design and telling compelling stories through the planning, researching, designing, and presenting visually appealing PowerPoint presentations.
  • Affinity for the Health & Nutrition/Wellness space.  
  • Comfortable working in matrixed organization and able to lead cross functional teams effectively.
  • Strong project leadership experience with ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Sound understanding of concepts, principles and practices in Marketing (functional expert) and a basic knowledge in other areas including Sales, Finance and Supply Chain.
  • In-depth understanding of how own area integrates with other Marketing areas and with other functional areas such as Sales.
  • Deep understanding of the industry sector and competitive landscape.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, communication and teamwork skills.
  • Developed communication and diplomacy skills required to guide, influence, and convince others (internal and external); often customer-facing; interactions with senior leadership.  
  • Strong relationship with Sales.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication & organizational skills required. 
  • Ability to manage detailed project to tight timeline

Base Salary: $103,520 - 181,150.

 

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
