We are looking to hire a Commercial Excellence Director in a Hybrid (60/40) capacity for our site in Mexico City. This is 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Position Overview:
This role provides strategic leadership and direction to the commercial processes towards the goal of delivering superior service & innovation, achieving customer intimacy and delivering value to both McCormick and its customers. This role leads a multi-functional team focused on analyzing and improving processes to enable the Sales organization to operate more efficiently and effectively through the use of systems and best practices.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the leadership of linking the multiple cross-functional processes required to successfully introduce new products into the marketplace for CFS LATAM. Supervises the Project Management function that coordinates the development of the critical innovation for the business.
  • Responsible for aligning and facilitating the implementation of the Commercial Strategy for the region. This includes setting priorities and goals, driving accountability to deliver SMART goals and leading key enabling initiatives.
  • Implementation of effective process and systems to facilitate the administrative tasks of the Account Manager. This includes direct responsibility over the PMR and New Product Development processes and systems.
  • Lead communication and reporting activities, including internal and external scorecards and SIB calculation.
  • Coordinate the Long-Term Plan Process, including the definition of the strategic avenues robust enough to deliver on the long term agenda and secure the alignment of the product pipelines to those avenues.
  • Build relationships to facilitate knowledge sharing across functions, business units and Divisions and define and implement, along with Sales and HR the capabilities curricula for the Commercial Teams.

 

Requirements:

  • Completed bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or similar fields. Master’s in business, Management or Sales desirable.
  • Cumulative experience of at least 10 years in Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing, Project Management or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Field Sales and/or Trade Marketing. 
  • Minimum 5 years manager level supervisory experience. 
  • Experience working in B2B desired.
  • Strong operational management skills, as demonstrated by a track record of managing Joint Business Planning with Customers, Project Management, Demand Forecasting, Logistics Planning and Customer
  • Fulfillment across a variety of products and supply sources, within CPG or B2B operations. 
  • Strong systems acumen, spreadsheet and presentation skills.
  • Strong skills in communication and cross-functional project management. 
  • Ability to effectively negotiate, and influence. 
  • Accountability and ability to make things happen.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively. 
  • Ability to solve complex problems.
  • Fluent or advanced English proficiency (spoken and written).
