We are looking to hire a Consumer & Market Insight Analyst in a Hybrid (60/40) capacity for our site in Mexico City. This is 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Position Overview:

The Consumer & Market Insight Analyst plays a key role in creating marketing-ready, customer-facing content for McCormick’s Flavor Solutions business within the Food Business Unit. This role blends trend tracking, consumer insight, and data storytelling to craft compelling narratives that bring the consumer and category to life for customers. Responsibilities include synthesizing research into trend reports, customizing insight content for presentations, and executing rapid-turn surveys to support customer requests. The individual will translate research and cultural signals into inspirational materials that support customer engagement, selling stories, and strategic discussions.

 

In addition, this role will help contribute to McCormick’s evolving data and insight ecosystem by leveraging emerging tools and technologies, including AI-assisted analytics and generative insight platforms, to enhance speed, depth, and creativity in insight generation. Insights developed in this position may also inform future AI model development, helping shape how consumer understanding fuels next-generation intelligence capabilities. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Synthesize insights from secondary and syndicated resources to develop trend reports, using both traditional and AI-assisted tools to identify emerging consumer and cultural patterns.
  • Customize insight content for customer-facing presentation and storytelling materials.
  • Execute rapid-turn surveys to support customer requests, ensuring efficient and high-quality data collection and interpretation.
  • Support team capability development, trainings, and related activities, including awareness of evolving digital and AI-enabled insight tools.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Consumer Insights, Anthropology, Sociology, Communications, Journalism, Business, or other related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in consumer insights, cultural trends, marketing research, or related analytics roles.
  • Experience in trend forecasting, cultural intelligence, social listening, or content/story development preferred.
  • Awareness of emerging AI tools used for insight generation, data synthesis, or content creation (e.g., generative AI platforms, AI-based trend identification tools).
  • Ability to identify emerging cultural, category, and consumer trends through continuous scanning of diverse sources.
  • Strong qualitative synthesis skills with the ability to connect patterns across primary research, secondary sources, and cultural signals.
  • Excellent storytelling ability – translating insights and trends into clear, compelling narratives that inspire action.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate and synthesize learnings from primary and secondary research into compelling insights and actionable business recommendations.
  • Knowledge of a variety of common qualitative and quantitative consumer research methods.
  • Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and communicating with data, including descriptive statistics and means testing.
  • Ability to develop and program surveys (experience with Qualtrics, Toluna, Suzy, Forsta, or similar platform preferred).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Power Point & Word.
  • Excellent written, oral, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Effective consulting and interpersonal/collaboration skills, including working with cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Product Development) and with external partners (e.g., vendors).
  • Collaborative mindset with openness to learning and applying emerging technologies, including AI tools that enhance insight quality and efficiency.
  • Fluent in English (spoken & written).
