We are looking to hire a Senior Manager, Consumer & Market Insight – LATAM in a Hybrid (60/40) capacity for our site in Mexico City. This is 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Position Summary:
The Senior Manager, Consumer & Market Insight - LATAM is responsible for leading all facets of insight-related activities across the Latin America region. The individual will conduct custom research and mine existing research to identify breakthrough consumer & customer insights that drive measurable sales & share impact. This role is critical to influence and shape business building strategies across both the B2C and B2B businesses in the region. Through the insight agenda, the individual will be responsible for helping build the consumer/customer intuition of the regional business teams. The individual will report into the Director, Consumer & Market Insight – Americas as part of McCormick’s Global Marketing organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a wide variety of custom research projects specific to Latin America Flavor Solutions and Consumer businesses, with particularly strong emphasis on acting opportunistically for.
- Identify foundational and customer-centric knowledge gaps and independently develop and execute a research agenda that addresses business priorities by integrating data, research and/or learning activities from multiple sources while addressing business priorities.
- Develop strong collaborative partnerships with stakeholders to proactively identify business challenges and opportunities and foster a culture of consumer/customer-centricity.
- Provide proactive consultation to Business Teams across all levels, guiding business strategy and sell-in materials through synthesized consumer, market and competitive insights and recommendations.
- Track relevant marketplace trends including cultural, socioeconomic, and specific category trends to identify and champion high level and customer-specific business opportunities.
- Effectively manage external and internal suppliers/research partners to enable the design and execution of research projects on time and on budget.
- Vendor management to ensure strong partnership and return on investment.
- Contribute to training opportunities to meet organization’s learning needs.
- Leverage external connections to bring fresh thinking and innovative new tools that deliver value to the McCormick top and bottom line, and establish McCormick as a global insight thought leader.
Qualifications:
- Completed Bachelor’s or MS Degree in Marketing, Consumer Insights, Analytics, Business, or other related field.
- 8+ years of Marketing/Consumer Research experience, with at least 3 years of experience in B2B.
- Experience working successfully with regional teams and/or markets outside of Mexico (USA and LATAM preferred).
- Proficiency in fundamental qualitative and quantitative research methods and working knowledge of analytics and syndicated data services (e.g., Kantar, Innova, Mintel).
- Demonstrated ability to integrate and synthesize learning from primary and secondary research; translating complicated information into a compelling narrative that inspires action and informs business decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to challenge and reframe research requests to achieve stronger outcomes.
- Recognized for ability to think holistically and provide strategic guidance and thought leadership to internal and external stakeholders across all management levels.
- Proven project management leadership experience with demonstrated success in prioritizing and balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in interpreting, analyzing and communicating with data.
- Proficiency with MS Excel, Power Point & Word.
- Successfully and consistently demonstrates competencies with respect to business acumen, strategic thinking, negotiation, influencing and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, with ability to effectively navigate cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Product Development) and with external partners (e.g., vendors).
- Prior experience in Food industry preferred.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
