We are looking to hire a Category Manager I immediately. Please note this is a Remote - Field Base position. The candidate must be able to work the Mountain Time Zone if in another time zone.

This new hire will work remotely (Mountain Time Zone), and report to the Customer Insights & Advisors Director.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Category Manager I will act as Category Advisor that delivers unbiased category analytics to Albertsons National Category team and establishes McCormick as an indispensable category management partner. The Category Manager always keeps the customer’s goals at the forefront while also helping McCormick achieve objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works directly with Albertsons to deliver assortment and shelving recommendations to achieve customer category growth objectives
- Conducts robust analyses leveraging research, analytic tools and category management capabilities to identify and communicate business challenges and opportunities to Albertsons key stakeholders and work collaboratively to address
- Provides category management reporting and supports special project work for the team including schematic support and pricing & promotion tactics
- Collaborates with internal cross functional teams and the customer to develop strategic and tactical category solutions
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field
- 4+ years of CPG experience, with a minimum 2 years in Category Management
- Ability to react quickly, operate independently, and complete tasks in a timely manner to meet deadlines
- Must be self-motivated, organized and attentive to detail
- Must possess knowledge of the Category Management process, syndicated POS and panel data (IRI, Nielsen, etc.) as well as familiarity with pricing, promotion and assortment optimization software and experience working with customer-specific data systems (SymphonyAI, 84.51, dunnhumby, etc.)
- Strong analytic skills and demonstrated ability to translate insights into actionable business recommendations that deliver positive results
- Excellent verbal and written presentation skills, with the ability to analyze and understand the data and then effectively communicate those insights to both internal and external audiences
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Understanding of Field Sales and Retailer process in business analytics as well as distribution obstacles is a benefit
- Basic understanding of shopper insights research methodologies
- Space planning experience for building and analyzing planograms

Base Salary: $87,910 - $153,870.
Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
