We are looking to hire a Brand "Product" Manager for Gourmet Spices and Extracts  immediately in a Hybrid (50/50) capacity at our Global Headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

Position Overview

NA Consumer Product Manager for McCormick Gourmet Spices and Extracts supports share growth objectives for the ~$3.5B NA Consumer business. This includes analyzing & visualizing business risks and opportunities for the region business division, driving performance & insights across segments & categories, influencing the NA CPD forecast through macro drivers and consumption insights, decomping changes to forecasts and reporting key drivers and metrics. The role also includes leading projects for leadership such as supply chain raw material strategy, new item development, and/or customer specific needs, etc.

Key Responsibilities

Description    

  • Business Performance Enablement & Insights: Responsible for supporting NA Brand Manager and Director on analytical insights and thought leadership across multiple key metrics including consumption forecasts/trends, service, trade inventory, executive reporting and score carding.           
  • Leads special initiatives based on evolving needs of the business or leadership such as supply chain raw material strategy, new item development, and/or customer specific needs.
  • Leads analytics and insight development, identifying key business drivers, opportunities and providing recommendations in line with the business strategy.
  • Strategic Planning: Support for facilitating and driving recommendations for divisional resource choices including category growth drivers, benefit/risk analysis of forecast performance and annual portfolio roles.
  • Cross Function- Department Team Collaboration & Leadership: Responsible for cross team and department insights sharing and synthesizing (example opportunity gap work, trade inventory and executive leadership reporting). Collaborates closely with commercial functions to enable the commercial agenda.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related discipline
  • Experience in Consumer Package Good Industry.         
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in marketing (brand) or closely related field.
  • Basic Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Interpersonal Skills - leadership, interactions, communication, influence
  • Position requires strong financial and business acumen and excellent leadership skills.
  • Must be able to lead cross functional teams, with an emphasis on P&L management.
  • Knowledge of the food industry and competitive environment necessary to provide Leadership with business case.
  • Must be able to collaborate with cross functional teams by having excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Must be capable of independent decision-making and have the ability to lead multiple projects.
  • Must be able to lead as well as participate at all levels of contact
  • Superior analytical and organizational skills required.
  • In addition to daily contact with internal contacts in Operations, Marketing and Supply Chain, almost daily contact with Business Analytics.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Level of Education and Discipline:  MBA

As a general policy, McCormick does not offer employment visa sponsorships upon hire or in the future. 

 

Base Salary: $87,910 - $153,870.

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
