POSITION OVERVIEW
This Revenue Management Analyst is the analytical engine for the USCPD revenue management function. This position will be on the front lines to model, assess and make recommendations based on analytics for the $1.8B USCPD business. The successful candidate will be expected to build the analytical framework for pricing strategies, price pocket management, pack size and overall discounting approaches to optimize NSV, profit and market share against the portfolio of brands. This is an entry level position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze pricing, IRI, shipment, cost structure and trade to create NSV / OP value
- Influence the broader revenue management strategies at the brand / business level
- Provide education into the business and sales on analytical insights and concepts - selling insights behind the analytical framework
- Presentation development / senior management engagement
- Commercial environment - this individual will have to marry multiple data sets to arrive at the optimal conclusion - cost structure, commercial activation / SC impact and elasticity interpretation
- Very complex data sets need to be mined to get the framework and models - IRI, CPI, shipments, financials, cost structure and trade.
- Balancing the needs on topline and bottom line optimization - this is a very dynamic environment and can change rapidly as commodities move, competitors shift or strategies shift.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Strategy, Statistics, Advanced Analytics or related field
- 1 year of experience in analytical and strategic acumen and capabilities
- Ability to aggregate, model, assess and draw conclusions from multiple financial and commercial data sets
- Sales accumen and/or marketing accumen
- Use of statistical modeling capabilities, Crystal Ball - classically trained in advanced analytics
- Broad understanding of modeling and statistical concepts
- Patience, persistence and the ability to build from scratch the analytical framework and tools given our current systems and data architecture
- Creativity and problem solving - they will be dealing with rich data sets, but will be building out a new analytical framework and approach
- Analytically inquisitive
- Persuasive / conviction – Ability to influence via their analytical insights. Ability to build and sell insights and ideas up and across the organization
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA
- Previous pricing analytics work or trade spend optimization
- Experience in commercial analytics
- CPG understanding
- Broad awareness and a holistic commercial thinker
