We are looking to hire an Sr. Product (Brand) Manager immediately in a Hybrid (50/50) capacity at our Global Headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

The Sr. Product Manager will be responsible for the in-year delivery and developing growth strategies to meet ambitious growth and share goals for the Spice, Extract and Seasonings segments. The role supports Club and Dollar Channels across North America focusing on Costco, Sam’s, BJs, Dollar General and Dollarama. This role will lead a cross functional team and collaboration efforts with sales to accomplish stated goals. This position is a key role in a fast paced environment, requiring ability to prioritize and influence key stakeholders across brand marketing, sales, supply chain, design and development partners.    

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of our customers in Alternate Channels to create customer level growth strategies that align with both McCormick’s growth ambitions and the needs and strategies of our customers.
  • Manage day to day customer requests and prioritize to effectively deliver goals
  • Report monthly and ad hoc as needed on business performance and identify key insights that will be the foundation for forecasting and establishing effective growth strategies
  • Establish priorities for sales and develop compelling content to gain distribution and accomplish customer level goals
  • Lead product/packaging, communication and pricing projects through cross-functional partners to deliver growth goals.
  • Demonstrate operational expertise and understanding of McCormick ways of working and processes to effectively lead cross functional teams
  • Recommend and deliver presentations to sales, customers, and senior leadership for alignment on key strategies
  • Coaching and development of one to two direct reports

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, or related field required
  • 5 years of consumer packaged goods marketing experience including proven history on growth strategy development
  • Results focused individual who thrives in fast paced, dynamic environment.  
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload for self and team against desired results
  • Experience managing and developing direct reports
  • Experience leading cross functional teams, strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, communication, analytical skills with a bias for action
  • Strong analytical skills as well as evaluative judgement based on the analysis of factual and qualitative information in complex or novel situations
  • Demonstrated success leading and championing business plan recommendations for senior management
  • Demonstrated understanding of:
    • Marketing procedures and concepts
    • How the team interacts and integrates with others in accomplishing objectives
    • Competitive landscape and implications to the segment and business
    • Required business acumen that goes beyond Marketing
  • Good understanding of syndicated retail data analysis (IRI, Nielsen), financial analysis, business planning, market research
