McCormick Canada is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to join the Marketing Team. This role is part of McCormick’s Canadian Consumer Division and is based at the Drew Road office in Mississauga, ON. The position reports to the VP of Sales and Marketing for Canada.
POSITION OVERVIEW
This role is responsible for the direction, development, and execution of strategic plans to achieve our goals and objectives. It holds responsibility for alternate channel delivery of annual volume and profitability targets, a 3-year customer playbook/strategy in core categories, omnichannel, merchandising, new products, and pricing recommendations. The role leads direct reports and cross-functional teams through annual planning, business reviews, and the in-market execution of channel marketing plans. It represents alternate channel needs in established stage gate process and contributes insights for pan-channel initiatives. This position collaborates closely with Sales and Global Insights to integrate category, shopper, and product insights across the base business, innovation, and buyer reviews. It also leads process improvements as needed to meet customer timelines, internal development requirements, and product selling strategies. Additionally, it leads and coaches the team through Integrated Business Planning process. This position is responsible for the following alternate channels: Food-Away-From Home, e-Commerce, Club, Dollar. As a member of the Canadian Marketing Leadership Team, the Senior Marketing Manager plays a key role in shaping broader success against our goals and fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manages channel annual budgets and financial targets to deliver growth in these strategic channels for the Consumer Division.
• Develops comprehensive annual and 3yr marketing plans and presents to divisional leadership; and develop and lead transformation business change initiatives.
• Lead, develop, and engage direct and dotted line reports to be successful in McCormick, fostering a high-performance and growth-driven culture.
• Leads the Integrated Business Planning process and supports with sales planning for the Channels team.
• Inspires and leads to key cross-functional partners such as research, sales, product development, manufacturing, quality, finance, legal & Marketing Excellence partners.
• Achieves and demonstrates a deep understanding and knowledge of our key strategic customers in Alternate Channels. This knowledge should enable thought leadership and strategy setting that is fully in line with the mandatory needs and strategic direction of each customer.
• Diversifies Alt Channel portfolio through consumer insights, competitive and market analysis and deep understanding of emerging trends.
• Demonstrates operational expertise and understanding of MKC ways of working and processes to effectively drive and lead change and optimization that builds capability to win.
• Champions key strategic and tactical initiatives in product quality improvements, new products and line extension development, testing, cost reduction, promotions, and in-market performance of such items.
• Recommends promotional and pricing (Price/Pack Architecture, price slope) to leadership and internal governance processes, with thinking on cross channel impact and contingency plans.
EDUCATION
University Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related discipline. MBA is preferred.
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience of demonstrated success in building 3 Year vision grounded in consumer and shopper insights and delivering annual sales and profitability targets
• Management and development of direct reports and team
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Strong analytical, and project leadership experience with ability to manage multiple projects.
• Expertise in syndicated databases, market research, business & brand planning, advertising, finance, promotional activities, and consumer communications.
