Plant QA Manager

Key Responsibilities

  1. QA Department Management

    • Responsible for the overall management of the Plant QA department, including team management, capability development, budget management, and cost control.
    • Ensure the QA team operates effectively to support plant operational and quality objectives.
  2. Raw Material and Process Quality Control

    • Manage ingredient and raw material control to ensure all incoming materials meet food safety and quality specifications. Establish and maintain effective incoming inspection plans to identify and prevent the use of non‑conforming materials.
    • Lead the QA team in conducting daily in‑line inspections and finished product inspections to ensure production processes comply with product specifications and McCormick quality system requirements.
    • Provide guidance and technical support to supervisors and staff in troubleshooting quality-related issues.
  3. Consumer Complaint Management & Continuous Improvement

    • Lead investigations of consumer complaints and conduct root cause analysis.
    • Develop corrective and preventive actions and follow up on implementation to drive continuous improvement of the quality management system and product quality.
  4. Quality System & Food Safety Management

    • Ensure the plant Quality Management System (QMS) is effectively implemented, maintained, and continuously improved.
    • Drive GMP improvements through routine and periodic inspections and initiate improvement plans in collaboration with relevant departments.
    • Coordinate the HACCP program in the plant, ensuring all CPs and CCPs are properly identified, established, and effectively controlled, with related procedures implemented.
    • Provide training and refresher training to plant employees to strengthen GMP and food safety awareness.
    • Lead internal audits and coordinate external audits, including second‑party and third‑party audits.
  5. Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Systems Support

    • Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth business operations, including support for systems and processes such as SAP and CCI.
  6. QA Support for Innovation and Development

    • Participate as a team member with NQA and PD departments on QA‑related research, product development, and improvement projects.
