We are looking for a passionate and proactive Quality Assurance Specialist to join our afternoon shift team.  In this role, you’ll be the on-the-floor champion of product quality and food safety, partnering closely with Operations to ensure our standards are upheld and continuously improved.  You’ll be the key QA contact during afternoon production, providing guidance, coaching, and decision-making support to maintain compliance with GMP, HACCP, and regulatory requirements.

 

This is a hands-on role where you’ll lead quality governance activities, deliver training, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen our quality culture and performance.

About the Role

 

Your responsibilities will include managing day-to-day quality activities, overseeing product control, and ensuring timely reporting of incidents. You’ll conduct internal audits, document findings, and drive corrective actions to uphold site standards. Additionally, you’ll deliver training sessions, toolbox talks, and informal coaching to build quality awareness across teams. You’ll also support record-keeping and compliance reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through involvement in QA and site-wide projects.

 

About You

 

Our ideal candidate will be a confident and collaborative quality professional with a strong technical background and a passion for food safety.  You will thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy being a visible, approachable presence on the production floor.

 

You’ll bring:

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in food science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a related field
  • 3-4 years’ experience in a QA role within food manufacturing or a regulated industry
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and Quality Management Systems
  • Skills in auditing, problem-solving, and root cause analysis
  • A decisive mindset with excellent communication and influencing skills
  • A valid Driver’s License
