This is an exciting entry-level opportunity to start or develop your career in Consumer & Market Insights at McCormick.

 

As a Consumer & Market Insight Analyst, you will support the EMEA Insights team in understanding consumers, shoppers and markets for our brands. You will learn how consumer research informs brand strategy, innovation and business decisions in a global FMCG environment.

 

This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional who is interested in market research, analytics and consumer behaviour, and is eager to learn in a collaborative, supportive team.

 

You will work closely with experienced insight managers, agency partners and cross-functional teams across Marketing and Commercial functions. Over time, you will build strong technical skills in research design, data analysis and storytelling.

 

This role reports to the Director of Consumer & Market Insight EMEA (UK-based).

 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

• Support Insight Projects: Develop market research surveys on survey platforms, analyse and create reports of results, (with guidance when required).  Support data and insight managers on agency projects when required.

• Support Business Analysis: Contribute to development of business overview projects including annual trends, quarterly business reviews and specific growth workstreams.

• Knowledge Management: Contribute to building and maintaining the team’s knowledge platform and help ensure teams have access to the latest insight.

• Events: Support preparation and delivery of consumer led events such as ‘Consumer Day’

• Capability: Support team capability development, training sessions, and related activities

 

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

•           Degree in Marketing, Consumer Insights, Analytics, Business, or other related field

•           Recent graduates welcome

•           Market Research Professional Training Scheme available.

•           Early-career experience in market research, analytics or marketing, or relevant experience gained through internships or academic research projects

•           Strong interest in consumer behaviour and data analysis

•           Experience using Excel or similar tools to analyse data and Powerpoint for charting

•           Basic understanding of quantitative research methods (university level acceptable)

•           Experience with survey platforms (e.g. Toluna) is helpful but not required

•           Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail

•           Clear written and verbal communication skills

•           Willingness to learn and develop new skills, interest in applications of AI in market research

•           Self-motivated and ability to work independently

•           Comfortable with working in a hybrid and international environment, collaborating virtually with international colleagues

•           Ability to work collaboratively in an international team

•           Fluent in English
