Position Overview

Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Continuous Improvement Manager (CI Manager) will be directly responsible for the management and leadership of the site JTE journey.  The role will be responsible for developing and leading JTE foundational programs, Internal JTE audits, Loss Analysis, CCI program and Training.  This role will also temporary lead Safety, Health and Wellness programs and represent the site in network calls. 

 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop JTE roadmap and execute JTE implementation activities in order to drive Site KPIs such as Safety, Quality, Food Safety, Process Reliability, Service and Costs.

• Manage and execute site CCI program

• Provide leadership and coaching to teams, driving results achievement through others. Achieve results through participative, high performance management and leadership skills.

• Temporarily leads SHE activities and supports regional standards related to Safety, Environment and Health.

• Develop and Execute Site Training System.

 

Required Qualifications

  • BSc in Engineering or Relevant Experience
  • 10 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing facility, with leadership experience and a proven record of target focused delivery in fast paced Operational environment.
  • Understanding of the Tools and Techniques used in Lean Manufacturing, 5S and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to participate in initiatives according to business needs and strategy In-depth understanding of the specific work unit; knowledge of the functional area and how external factors impact the work unit.
  • Background knowledge of the industry in order to understand which improvement options are feasible. Therefore, a solid understanding of applicable regulations, safety protocols, manufacturing tolerances and related data is needed Expected to know and understand applicability of current best industry practices that apply to field of responsibility.
  • Working practices within the packaging machinery and controls category. In-depth understanding of how own area integrates with other areas.
  • Comprehensive understanding of how multiple areas contribute to achieving the goals of the business.
  • Basic understanding of the industry sector in which they are operating and the impact to own function.
  • Sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange complicated information, including sensitive information or information that is difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience.
  • Provides mentoring, coaching and leading technology and technical skills development
  • Having a deep respect for the capabilities of all people on team and operating in an inclusive manner. Leading the creation of strategies, framework and action plans required to meet business objectives.

Base Salary: $103,520 - $181,150

 

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
