Position Overview


This position acts as the primary liaison to business workstream leaders and uses in-depth knowledge of our applications and tools to facilitate the optimization of business unit performance by enhancing the alignment between business process and information technology. The IT Business Relationship Analyst II is responsible for solution identification and design, translating business needs and objectives into solutions and technology roadmaps and solution delivery for assigned area. Primary focus is to shape global business processes to align with leading practice capabilities, whenever a competitive advantage is not required. The position serves to help the business navigate IT processes ensuring proper procedures are adhered to. On all but the largest projects, incumbent may act as the IT Project Manager. The incumbent also has functional and technical expertise in more than one business subprocesses.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Description


• Business Relationship Management – Primary liaison to business workstream leader to define solution, address business objectives, enable efficiencies. Influence business LTP with technology acumen. 
• Works with respective Business Relationship Director to develop IT LTP in area of expertise. Working closely with business leads, internal and external customers, vendors and peer companies, research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies to support McCormick’s strategic initiatives.
• Seeking constant improvement opportunities and appropriately challenges processes, streamline and optimize business and/or IT processes while maximizing effectiveness.
• May serve as project functional leader, team member or IT Project Manager on multiple applications, technology projects and strategic planning initiatives. May work with Solution Architecture team to define system requirements. Involvement in bringing new applications to McCormick’s IT landscape.
• For projects, formulate systems scope, estimates, and objectives relative to business needs and project requirements, considering application of industry best practices and new technologies.
• Participates in project design reviews for large (Tier 1 and 2) projects.

 

 

Required Qualifications

 

Level of Education and Discipline
BA/BSc - Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline. May consider 10+ years in lieu of degree.

 

Certification and/or Licenses:SAP, PMP, or ITIL

 

Experience -

  • functional/industry/commercial knowledge, business acumen
  • 5-7 years in-depth experience with 3 years expertise in more than one functional area. Minimum of 2 full life-cycle implementations, preferably including 1 with global deployment. Solution design experience across multiple sub-processes or SAP modules (e.g., Procure to Pay or SAP modules such as FI_AP, PP, MM).
  • Experience with SAP Ariba suite of tools, Concur, OCR/AP workflow tools such as Kofax Esker and an eagerness to learn new technologies. Demonstrated ability to lead in problem solving process for projects and support.

Other Skills and HPO Competencies
Expertise in delivery, project management, process management and business systems requirements definition. Knowledgeable of non-SAP tools such as ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, SharePoint.

 

Preferred Qualifications
