We are looking to hire a Team Manager I Maintenance immediately at our Dallas Manufacturing Plant in Irving, TX.

PRIMARY PURPOSE/FUNCTION OF THE JOB 

To control the maintenance budget, waste control, and facilities/utilities budget, including the negotiation of external contracts as well as invoices.

Highly proficient at detailed documentation of daily issues as well as daily planning for team members.

Reviews timekeeping and validates before maintenance manager

Driving sustainable actions for the team through processes

Works with contractors and direct reports in the installation, modification, repair of equipment & strategic planning.

 

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE ONLY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Include percent of time for each and include any people management and leadership responsibilities.)

Actively participates in all plant safety and quality initiatives (JSA, BOS, G4Q, Equipment Risk Assessment, etc)

Directs and supports the daily management/ daily problem-solving initiatives of the team to prioritize work including maintenance activities, site repairs, facilities/utilities activities to increase operational effectiveness and efficiencies. Creates an atmosphere of 100% compliance to operational processes and procedures.

Manages the purchase order process for all service work/repairs for the maintenance department, from purchase requisition creation to invoice approvals in SAP.

Provides regular performance feedback and oversees development/training plans for individuals within the team.

Improves maintenance operations by identifying problems and trends while recommending new approaches.

Report on and drive improvement of KPI's by reviewing completed work orders, identifying reoccurring issues, trends, training opportunities or required follow-ups. Audit and Maintain the CMMS. Critique PMs for effectiveness and frequencies

Manages the technical aspects of the role, specific to the functional area. This individual shall have proficiency in the development and use of a CMMS system such as Maximo, SAP Maintenance, MP2, Chase as well as accounting system such as Dolphin, Ariba, etc. This individual shall be considered the system expert for that system.

Daily resource scheduling, shift exchange management, and implementation of key initiatives in relation to shift teams including but not limited to TPM/JTE, Autonomous Maintenance, Safety & Planned Maintenance.

EXPERIENCE: (Minimum number of years and type of experience required to perform the job, specify number of years in relevant disciplines/ roles.)

Minimum 5 years in maintenance/skilled trades

Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated leadership

 

OTHER SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

Availability to work overtime daily or on weekends. Flexibility to support /train across shifts.

Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office tools

Must be able to solve practical problems and demonstrate the ability to methodically analyze and correct problems of a varied nature on a wide range of equipment and support equipment.

Must have a working relationship with production work leaders and supervisors. Production is our customer, feedback will be requested for reviews and appraisals.

Role requires individual to be a (System’s expert) with a specific piece of equipment used in production, i.e. automated filler, labeler, case packer.

 

 

Utilizes coaching and facilitation skills to manage employee relations.

Role requires individual to maintain and capture detailed notes about direct report(s) activities, good and bad for annual review and appraisals.

 

 

Task direct reports to achieve the best daily performance possible

 

 

To maintain an effective working knowledge of all site facility systems

Accountable to work order, preventive maintenance and break down analysis completion for shift.
