QA Food Safety & Quality Systems Lead

Join McCormick, a global leader in flavour, as our QA Food Safety & Quality Systems Lead, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety, integrity, and quality. This position provides leadership for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Food Safety, Food Defence, and Quality Systems at our Polish Plant.
Main Responsibilities #LI-DNI
- Lead and govern Food Safety, Food Defence, and Quality Systems programs, including HACCP, allergen management, pest control, environmental monitoring, and internal inspections.
- Ensure compliance with McCormick Corporate Quality Assurance policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Manage and continuously improve the site’s Food Safety, Food Defence & Quality Systems training program to ensure competency across all levels.
- Oversee internal and external audit programs, ensuring readiness for customers and third-party accreditations.
- Publish and analyse monthly KPIs and audit results, driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Lead the investigation and resolution of non-conformances and customer complaints, ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Partner with the Factory Leadership Team to review performance, identify risks, and implement improvement plans.
- Develop and coach team members, fostering a strong food safety and quality culture throughout the site.
Candidate Profile
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Microbiology, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
- Recognised qualification in Food Safety, Quality Systems Management, or Auditing; HACCP Team Leader certification preferred.
- Relevant quality leadership experience within the food manufacturing industry or similar (packaging, pharmaceuticals or cosmetics preferably).
- Proven knowledge of HACCP, BRC Auditing, SSOPs, GMPs, and hygiene standards.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coach, develop, and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of working cross-functionally and representing the site externally.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and deliver measurable results.
- Adaptable, commercially aware, and proactive in responding to challenges in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Fluent in Polish and English (both written and spoken).
